My 6-week-old kitten is very sleepy, not eating, and peeing little.

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered

My kitten has been sleeping a lot lately, he doesn't eat much and he pees only a little bit. He isn't as energetic as he was before. He's 6 weeks old and he was a feral kitten. His sister acts and behaves normal. She eats a healthy amount, pees a healthy amount, plays like usual. It's just him I'm worried about. I can't afford a vet a right now so I can't take him. Could you help please?

Congrats on your new kitten! It is really hard to say what is going on with Hiccup without seeing him. He could have an intestinal parasite that is stealing his nutrients. He could also have a malformation of his anatomy that his sister doesn't have. Ideally he needs to see a veterinarian to have a physical exam and to check his stools for microscopic worms. You can purchase an over the counter kitten dewormer and follow the instructions labeled until he can be seen by a vet. Please note not every dewormer treats every kind of parasite. Good luck and kisses to Hiccup!
