Is a stray kitten's inflamed eye fatal? What to do if I can't catch?

Hi, This is a street cat about 2 months old. his left eye was kinda darkish (not shinny), now inside of eye is not visible because of inflammation. I can not grab him. he is always on the wall and escaping me, what should I do. is his like in danger? infection from his eye may become fatal? please help

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It's hard to say from the picture but it looks like Barfi has an infection in that eye. There could be some trauma, too. He is in danger of losing the eye if it isn't treated, however, it is a possibility we are already past that point. I would keep trying to catch him so he can be seen by a vet. They will discuss your options. If the eye needs to be removed it will be ok. He will see great with the good eye and it's better to get that painful eye out. Good luck to you and Barfi!
