A bit of serous or clear discharge is not uncommon in dogs to some extent. However, if that discharge becomes mucopurulent (yellowish/greenish) it could mean a number of possible conditions that do need therapy such as a corneal ulcer secondary to perhaps trauma while camping, or other conditions such as KCS. If she appears to have that type of discharge, have her evaluated by your veterinarian to ensure that she is ok and does not require any therapy. Good luck with Koda!!

This looks like normal eye discharge similar to the sleep we produce. It is a normal colour but there does appear to be a fair bit. There could be some sort of irritation to the eye causing more production or there could be a blockage to the outflow tract. I think it would be best to get an ophthalmic exam performed. This discharge is likely completely normal but as you are concerned it would be good to check. As for KCS usually the eyes ate very dry which can then predispose to irritation and infections, in this case the eyes look bright. However the vet can easily heat the eyes to make sure they are producing enough tear which will put your mind at rest.
