Pet's info: Dog | Bichon Frise | Male | unneutered | 13 lbs
Whenever I give my dog water, he seems almost like he "over drinks" (but he drinks a reasonable amount) and he drools out a moderate amount of clear liquid. He doesn't "vomit" it out, he sort of just opens his mouth and it comes out. He doesn't seem like he's in any discomfort whatsoever, but I just want to make sure this isn't part of a bigger problem?

What you describe sounds more like regurgitation. Sometimes this can happen to dogs when they drink water too quickly. This happens regularly to my dog actually after going on long walks. Something that can help is to not allow her to drink lots of water at once (this has worked for me). If it continues to occur despite a normal water intake at once the further work-up for possible gastrointestinal diseases or other possible causes of regurgitation would be warranted.
