My dog's eye won't open, has discharge after chlorine. Vet needed?

Pet's info: Cat | Pixiebob | Female | spayed | 30 lbs

my dog put her head in a pile of spilled powdered chlorine and its in her eye. i flushed with water from a garden hose but two days later she wont open her eye all the way and there is yellow (ish) discharge around her eye....advise?

Oh poor Nalla! This could represent some trauma to the cornea or other components of her eye that would benefit from therapy. Have her examined as soon as possible by a veterinarian to determine what the best course of action should based on an examination. Best of luck!

    Thank you for your post! If Nalla's eye came in contact with a chemical and you flushed it out but are still seeing symptoms, I would get her in to see your vet right away. There may be trauma to the cornea or chemical burns in the eye that need to be treated medically. I would address this as soon as possible as you don't want Nalla to lose vision in the affected eye.
