My 3-week-old orphan kitten is limping and shaky. Is his leg broken?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 0.7 lbs

Im caring for an orphan kitten 3wks old (assuming). He walks very shaky and tremors. Today i think he may have injured himself. Hes favoring his rear left leg. Walks on it but falls, lifts it when he sits and sleeps, licks it a lot, and cries if i touch it. Is it broken? No deformities, legs are same length, but i can tell something is wrong. What should i do?

Since he's so young the leg may heal fine on its own. As long as he's eating let him rest and give him a day or two to get better. If he stops eating or the shaking and tremors worsen please take him in for an exam. There is no safe. human pain medication for cats or kittens. Hopefully he'll improve.
