Hi my 3 year old beagle can barely open her eyes by until I pour Saline eye solution in it to clean it out but a lot of white mucus or puss comes out then she's fine but like an hour later she's in pain and can't open her eye again it has never happened before. Because eye concerns with dogs, such as infections, corneal ulcerations, cataracts and glaucoma, can progress rapidly I would have him examined by your veterinarian to diagnose the issue. The precise medication can then be dispensed by your veterinarian. Please do not attempt to treat an eye infection at home with any over the counter medications, drops or ointments.
