The dogs in the house I live in are given water 2-3 times a day. Specifically because one of them pees a lot, sometimes in the house, when he is given too much water. They live in Florida and mostly stay inside. Should they be getting more water? Are they more likely to get heat stroke with the amount of water they are being given?

If the dogs are used to this schedule and allowed to drink as much as they need to during this time it is probably fine to have them on this schedule. They should be allowed to have as much water as they need when they are outdoors in the heat. If any of them have any signs of an underlying disease then water should not be restricted - it would be a good idea to make sure the dog that urinates in the house if water is unrestricted did not have an underlying medical condition by running some blood work and a urinalysis.
