My puppy is 2 months old. When can I safely give them toys?

Hi, could you tell me when should i start buying toys for my puppy? Is it okey to buy a toy for 2 months old poodle?

Hello! Thank you for your question! In regards to when you should buy toys for puppies, there is really no set age. What I would say is to be careful of the size of toy that you buy as puppies can choose small pieces and swallow them and that can lead to problems such as intestinal obstructions. I would also refrain from buying very hard toys as teeth are quite fragile and these hard toys can break their teeth quite easily.

    Hi there! Congrats on your new puppy! You can begin buying toys for your new little Mimi anytime-just make sure they are durable (ideally with no buttons, easily destroyed by puppy teeth, or any tiny pieces). I always encourage my clients to monitor play with toys closely, especially at first as we do not want Mimi ingesting any of the pieces and getting sick. I hope this helps, and have a great day.
