Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 7 months old | 67 lbs

My large dog had a little dog potentially bite him. There is no ill effects marks or other issues noticed. Im only about 90% the dog bit him. I had it off him quite fast. Does he still neef medical attention?

If the other pet doesn't have an updated Rabies vaccine or if Tundras Rabies is overdue, then I would report it to animal control and then have Tundra examined. Also look her over for any blood on the haircoat, which usually indicates that there is a puncture wound on the skin. I hope everything works out for your pet Tundra. Best wishes and take care.

Poor Tundra! If there are no marks on him, the bite didn't break the skin, and he's not showing any signs of pain or distress, then no veterinary attention will not be needed. If he starts limping, becomes lethargic, stops eating, or otherwise appears painful and in distress, then yes he will need veterinary attention. I hope this helps!
