What happens if my cat only eats dog food? Can it cause health issues?

Can a cat eating dog food cause health issues that result in anorexia and heptic lipidosis?

I'm sorry Linus is sick. Hepatitis lipidosis is often secondary to anorexia. There is likely some other illness that may have caused his anorexia. I wouldn't suspect dog food of causing these problems unless it was the only thing that Linus was eating. Dog food is deficient in some amino acids required for cats. But if he was eating cat food and ate some dog food as well, I'm not sure that should cause a problem. good luck and hope he recovers quickly.
