My adult dogs have a 5 in 1 vaccine (DA2P + Parvovirus) once or twice. Can these protect my adult dogs from Parvo?

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Good question. I always advise that your veterinarian administer vaccines and not the owners. Veterinarians are knowledgeable in the diseases of your area and can advise which vaccines they would like to give your pets. The vaccines are manufactured by known sources and are guaranteed from the manufacturer. If you give your own vaccines, you don't really know who made them, how they were shipped, what temperature they sat it, and if something happens they typically won't guarantee anything if your dog gets sick. If the vaccines are modified live vaccines, your adult dogs only need one shot which will last for one year. If the vaccines are killed, they will need one shot and then a booster shot in 3-4 weeks, and then one year later. No vaccine is 100% effective but most adult dogs don't get Parvo as long as they have been vaccinated for it. Good luck
