Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 9 years and 4 months old | 22 lbs
My dog was laying on my bed and when he got up to move around and reposition himself, he took a step then jumped spontaneously and nervously across the bed. He had a very nervous look on his face afterwards and I called him over to me so that I could take a look at his feet/ body to see what could have caused him to lunge in a state of panic. I've witnessed him do this several times over the last 3-4 months. Any idea on what could have caused him to hop like this?

I am sorry that peanut is not acting like himself. I am not 100% sure why Peanut is acting this way. It is possible that Peanut has a soft tissue injury or even an orthopedic injury that is causing pain when Peanut moves in certain ways/directions. I would recommend starting with restricted activity for a few days. This means no running, jumping, and rough playing. If you don't notice an improvement I would recommend taking peanut to the vet for a good physical exam. IT is possible Peanut needs a really good exam to pin point where the discomfort is coming from.
