Why is my puppy's skin rash and hair loss worsening on antibiotics?

5 days ago I noticed 3 large red patches on my puppies stomach. Out vet said it was bacterial and prescribed antibiotics that he has been taking for only 2 days. Last night I noticed several smaller bumps all over his body that are not red and do not appear to bother him in any way. Today he has areas of hair loss beginning on his face. Could this still be the bacterial infection or does he need to go back to the vet? Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 5 days old | 30 lbs

I'm sorry to hear Abe is having skin issues. I would be concerned by the progression of his skin that he may have something more going on in addition to the bacterial infection, such as allergies, a skin parasites (mites or fleas) or a fungal infection. I would recommend he be re-evaluated to determine if something more is going on and additional treatment is needed. Good luck!
