My dog's penis ulcer and bloody discharge aren't improving with meds.

Our bishon boy have like an ulcer inside his penis and have discharges with blood. Giving presvribed antibiotics from saturday but not getting better

There can be several causes for what you have shown in the picture, including infection, cancer, bleeding/clotting disorder, trauma, or foreign body (something stuck in the pouch between the skin and penis that is rubbing). If the antibiotics that your vet described several days ago have not made any difference, then I recommend that you take Hugas in for a recheck examination. It may be that the bacteria did not respond to that particular antibiotic, or that the problem is not caused by bacteria and another treatment should be discussed.

    Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This would in fact warrant a recheck with your veterinarian. They may choose to proceed with diagnostics at this point such as a prostatic wash or perhaps just trying a different antibiotic. Hopefully this is nothing serious. Good luck!
