My 8 week old puppy is sneezing occasionally and has a temp of 102. She's extremely playful and happy, eating fine, and has hard stools. But she was exposed to distemper so I'm worried now

Hi there and thank you for posting your question! She may just have an upper respiratory infection starting. Puppies are quite prone to getting sick with a developing immune system. If you are concerned about the sneezing, I would have your veterinarian examine her to give you peace of mind. With distemper, sneezing can certainly occur. Puppies with distemper also go downhill fast and begin developing multiple other symptoms such as lethargy, inappetance, seizures / neurological symptoms, fever, etc. If these symptoms begin showing, I would certainly be worried about a viral infection like distemper. I hope this helps! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any further questions / concerns you may have.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Rancho. I recommend that he sees his veterinarian. He may have a simple upper respiratory tract infection, but it is worrisome if he has been exposed to the distemper virus. This is especially true if your previous dog broke with respiratory signs first. I would not expose him to any other dogs in case he is contagious. I hope this information helps!
