Why does my dog sometimes look sad for no reason?Is she in pain?She doesn't whine, she just sits there and her ears are back.Then after a while she gets happy to see me and gives me her paw. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 9 months and 5 days old | 38 lbs

Without having an examination it's hard to determine why Darby may be acting this way. Because Darby is younger I feel it's important to have her checked out by a veterinarian within the next few weeks to see if there is a medical issue. You may also want to record the behavior to show to your veterinarian during the appointment.
