Dog has swollen toe, raw skin, black mark. Is it a bite or cyst?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 75 lbs

dog has swelling on toe raw skin with a black mark might be cyst or insect bite? blue nosed male pit 75 lbs 2 yrs old. not limping or showing any weird signs of discomfort. we coned him. he is resting easily.

I can't tell exactly what it is from your description, but it definitely could be something like an insect or spider bite. I also worry about Brown Recluse bites in that part of the country. If it's not too big and Reggie seems to be otherwise normal, then just keep it clean for now and apply some antibacterial cream to it. You can just clean it by spraying it with water (no need for antiseptic). You can also do a 15 minute foot bath in warm (not hot) salt water once a day. If the swelling is not going down within 2 days, gets bigger, or starts to have pus, then it should really be seen by a veterinarian. You should also have Reggie checked if he starts to act abnormal. I hope that helps and he gets better soon.
