What is meant when I'm sitting and Maxx backs his butt up in front of me his face looking away from me. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 11 months and 7 days old | 50 lbs

Many dogs do this when they want their back or hips rubbed, so he may just be asking you to pet him in this area :) This can also be a play behavior in some dogs. Either way, it's a sign of trust that he's willing put his back to you without needing to see what you're doing - so take it as a compliment!
