Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 3 years and 5 months old | 15 lbs
Found him with his head down and didn't respond until touched on 8/4. Brought him to the vet right away, they couldn't find anything wrong with him but didn't do anything to check his head. I told them that it seemed neurological but they didn't listen so I was sent home with steroids, got home and he urinated and it was brown in color so they had me bring him to stay 1night but stayed the weekend. I brought him home yesterday. He's still wobbly, so tired. I wish that i knew what is causing this

Sorry to hear Ninja is not feeling too well. There are a number of possibilities regarding Ninja's symptoms. If he has not had blood work performed, I would strongly urge you to have some lab work performed. I would consider something infectious and possibly have him tested for Toxoplasmosis. You might consider a specialist consultation such as a neurologist if he seems neurologically depressed. X-rays and abdominal ultrasound may be useful but also may not find anything. I hope this helps and hope that Ninja improves! Please feel free to contact me with any further questions / concerns you may have. I am also available via consultation.

I am so sorry to hear of Ninja's condition. I can understand your concern. I would recommend scheduling a recheck with your veterinarian and advise them that Ninja's condition has not improved. Ask if they will run some diagnostic tests such as blood work, which can evaluate Ninja's liver and kidney function, electrolytes and also look for anemia. Dark/brown urine could indicate a number of different issues-a toxin, dehydration, muscle breakdown. He may need IV fluid therapy and perhaps referral to a specialist (internal medicine) if you do not see improvements. Does Ninja go outside? Is it possible he has ingested a toxin or plant that is affecting his behavior? Is he current on vaccinations and flea and tick preventative? Good luck-I hope you are able to get to the bottom of this and Ninja starts to feel better soon.
