My cat has moving worms near her anus. Can I treat them at home?

I am trying to diagnose what type of worm my cat has. I was able to see a clear, small piece that was still moving around her anus. There is dark, dried up matter around her anus as well. I am not sure if a vet visit is in order or if I can buy her the proper medicine. Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | spayed | 15 lbs
