Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 6 days old | 13 lbs

I have recently purchased 4 1/2 month old cockapoo puppy he hadn't had any injections or worm/ flea treatment which I've since had done . When we picked him up he had a bald patch on his side in the week we have had him the patch has grown and gone over his back to the other side. His skin looks fine there is no redness or rashes . I noticed there was a few hairs in his poo . We gave him his first bath last week .

It is very possible that Merlin has or had fleas on him. If that was the case, an untreated allergy can last 30 days. If he has been on a flea prevention product, we would need to rule out a microscopic mite, called demodex, or a fungal infection, called Ringworm. I recommend a veterinary exam to check the skin for both. Good luck and kisses to Merlin!
