My new kitten has ear circles and diarrhea. Are these symptoms linked?

I just rescued a kitten, and after a few days of having him I noticed a circle forming on the tips of his ears and the marks are gradually getting bigger. Also his poop is never solid. I thought his poop is this way because of him not being used to the food I was giving him and he just needed time to adjust, but then the circles started forming and getting worse so I was just wondering if these two situations are related or do I have anything to worry about and could it be something harmful to

I think the two signs are likely to be unrelated. Those skin lesion may be compatible with a fungal infection (ringworm) and ideally a check up would be needed to confirm this clinical suspicion and treat appropriately. Diarrhoea is likely to be caused by change in the diet, parasite infestation or bacterial infection. Antibiotics may be needed.
