Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 10 years and 7 months old | 5 lbs
Girls at front of vet gave me Revolution Topical 60 mg, 0.5 mL (120 mL) & says on pkg for dogs 10.1-20 lbs. My dog is a 10 YO Chi-Pom that weighs 5 lbs. They said it would be fine on my dog. Is it ok or too much for my dog?

high doses of this medication can be toxic and I would not recommend giving the full dose. I would call your veterinarian, or stop by if possible to see if this product can be returned as they may have given this to by mistake. Your go needs the 5-10lb sizing and if your vet dose not have that in stock you could consider trying other products or purchasing else where with a written prescription

They make a different size for smaller dogs such as yours. I would return it and get the correct dosage. I do not like to overdose products regardless if it's ok, the manufacturer has done studies on the correct dose and that is what I would use. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to get answers to your veterinary questions.
