Why does my energetic puppy keep waking up at 4 AM every day?

My dog keeps waking up at 4 am. I take him for long walks before bed, I stop food after 8 and I make him pee before bed. He is really energetic then and waking up every day at that time is taking a toll on us. Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | neutered | 4 months and 29 days old

This is really common for his age! Try to keep him up later if possible but just remember he is young and has a hard time holding it for too long. Also he has a lot of energy which will improve as he gets older. Finally if y'all have a doggy day care in your area you may try to take him there once or twice a week to see if it helps to expend more of his energy.
