Are Seresto flea collars as good as topical flea treatments for pets?

What is your opinion on the long term flea collars (Seresto, etc.)? Do they do a good job? Are they as good or better than the topicals? Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund miniature | Female | spayed | 10 years and 1 month old | 11.5 lbs

In my opinion ''topicals'' are best as collar tend to loose their efficacy pretty quickly. That is just a personal opinion based on my clinical activity and feedback from clients.
