Is old cat insulin recommended by my vet a year ago still safe?

this insulin have been recommend to me by my vet a year ago is save for cat. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 8 years and 4 months old

If it is a year old i would get a new bottle especially if it has been used before. If your at has not been on this insulin in over a year it can be unsafe to switch insulins or start again without a proper glucose reading
