Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 0.8 lbs

Is it normal for a 3 week old bottle fed kittens poop to look like this? He is just starting some canned food too. He has been dewormed.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The color and consistency of Thunder's stool is appropriate for his age and nutrition. It will start to look more like normal cat stool when he's on an all cat food diet!

That could be because of the switch to the canned food, he is a little too young for that, his gastrointestinal system night not be ready for it yet. keep him on kitten milk replacer for a little longer.
