Pet's info: Dog | Staffordshire Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 2 months old
Hi my 6 year old female staff comes out in a rash on her belly when she goes outside in spring and summer and also she has these little sneezing fits I'm sure it's hay fever, is there any human medication I can give her that's safe that will help? Also being 6 years old she hasn't been done would it still be worth it at her age?

I would highly recommend spaying her. Just because she is 6 does not mean she cannot get spayed,. She is actually at a very high risk for a pyometra which is an infection filled uterus. A pyometra can be fatal. Much better to just spay her. Also the rash could be secondary to allergies. I would recommend an over the counter anti histamine and contacting your vet for a proper dose because it is based on weight. You can also try and over the counter medicated shampoo 1 time a week or wiping her down with unscented baby wipes to help remove the grass from when she is outside. Hope that helps!
