My dog's foot got stuck in door, painful but not swollen. What to do?

My dog got his foot stuck in the door and it's not swollen or warm to touch it's just painful. What can I give him

Unfortunately, there are no over the counter human pain medications that are safe for pets. If he will allow, you can use an ice pack wrapped in a towel or a frozen bag of peas to put on the foot and help with swelling. Try to limit his activity to allow the foot time to rest. If he starts limping, or if the swelling has not gone down in 24-48 hours, I recommend that Titus see a vet for appropriate pain medications.
