My dog has red bumps on his legs not going away. Is it serious?

Pet's info: Dog | Labradoodle | Male | unneutered | 2 years old | 30 lbs

Hello! My 2 year old labradoodle has small red, pimple-like red bumps on his inner rear legs that are not going away w/ Benadryl. He isn't excessively licking or biting at them and he has been on the same diet forever. He eats a chicken/sweet potato Limited Ingredient Science Diet. He is blonde and I haven't noticed any fleas. When should I be worried and do you think I should take him into the vet right away? It has been the same for about 2 weeks now. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Benji may have a mild skin infection. I recommend bathing him weekly with a medicated shampoo. Usually this will resolve in a few weeks without any other treatment. If they get worse then I would bring him in for an exam. They may prescribe antibiotics or do a skin scraping to get a diagnosis. Skin infections are more common during the hot summer months. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Benji.
