How often and how much to Furminate a long-haired cat's undercoat?

I have a Furminator descending tool for my small med-long hair cat. How much undercoat should I remove at a time and how often should I use it? Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | spayed | 2 years and 7 months old | 8 lbs

You can use the Furminator one to two times a week, and I would remove as much of the undercoat as possible each time you use it on Samantha. That will help cut down on her shedding. I hope this helps :-)
