Did my 9 lb poodle die from phenobarbital medication overdose?

9 lb poodle was given 3 ml of 16mg liquid phenobarbitiol 4 times within a day and a half. She died 2 days later. Was it from the overdose? Pet's info: Dog | Toy Poodle | Female | spayed | 9 lbs

16mg every 8-12 hours is well within the safe and therapeutic range of phenobarbital for a 9 pound dog. If you were actually giving 48mg each time, this would be an overdose, and could cause coma and subsequent death. I am very sorry that Gigi died.
