Put him on a leash and take him outside to his designated spot. Do not walk around. Just stand there and repeat "go outside" or a similar phrase. As soon as he starts to go, repeat "go outside" and praise "good dog!" as he goes. When he is finished, bring him directly back inside. If he does not go after a reasonable amount of time, bring him in but do not remove the leash. Attach it to your belt loop and keep him with you. When you see him start to circle or sniff, take him right outdoors again and repeat the process. If he does mess in the house, do not scold him unless you actually catch him in the act. This product has its own website and it is delivered to your address via autoship every couple of weeks. It is basically a patch of grass in a box with an absorbent pad underneath. The clients of mine that have used this have said the puppy automatically began using the patch and others had to physically pick up the puppy and put it on the patch several times before the puppy is trained. If you're looking to get Siao-lyn used to an indoor potty area, I would simply take her to the area as you would take her outside, so that she learns to go there. However, there may be some confusion over this if you are taking her both outside to potty, and inside. Instead, it would be better to try and take her outside more often so she doesn't need to hold it so long inside. Once she is older, she will be bale to hold it longer over time, and wouldn't need the indoor potty unless you plan to have her go there exclusively, anyway.
