How to switch my new, older cockatiel from seeds to pellets?

I am getting a cockatiel today. She is a year old. She has been fed a seed only diet her whole life. How do I get my cockatiel to convert to more of a pellet diet? I'm worried that it may be even more difficult for me since she won't be used to me. Is there any advice I can get to get my cockatiel to get off a seed only diet? First of all don't do it right away, wait at least a couple months and let her settle in her new place. then you can start to gradually switch her to pellets. you should do it within about 10 days. first day start with 10% pellets and 90% seeds, second day 20% pellets and so on until it's only pellets.
