Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 21 days old | 9 lbs

Why does my 3.5 month old Boston Terrier have a period of intense energy around 8:30 or 9:00 pm even after a walk and how best to address this?

Django sounds like he has quite the energy! Seeing as he is 3.5 months old, it is common at this age to have bursts of energy and periods of napping. This can be lessened by providing a lot of toys and enrichment in the house to keep him busy. Walking certainly helps but giving him plenty of toys to play with may also help reduce these bursts of energy. Eventually, Django will likely grow out of this but it will take some time. I hope this answer helps and please do not hesitate to contact me with any further questions / concerns you may have.
