My cat was spayed young. Will she still grow to her full adult size?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 4 months and 23 days old | 4.5 lbs

I've just had my cat spayed, I've heared that once spayed the cat won't grow much bigger than the size it's at, is this true? As my Oreo is still so small as she's not even 5 months yet

That is not true! Oreo will still grow to a full adult size. Male cats that have not been neutered will tend to have slightly different features than neutered male cats as they put on more muscle and get a slightly bigger appearance to their heads, but female cats will all get to about the same size whether spayed or not.
