My dog has flea allergies. Can I use Simparica and Advantix?

Hi, my dog has just been subscribed Simparica. I see this only kills adult fleas once he has been bitten by them, is therefore possible to also use Advantix in his coat as that kills all life stages of the flea. My dog does suffer from flea allergies so I thought this might be useful to attack his problem from all angles so to speak. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 2 years old | 77 lbs
