Why is my cat throwing up food after eating and drinking a lot?

My Siamese mix cat, Sammy, period throws up after eating. I notice he is drinking a lot of water and when he vomits, it's food. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | 10 lbs

Hello, sorry to hear about Sammy. He could be having a metabolic disease that is causing both signs. Some of them include hyperthyroidism, diabetes, kidney disease, and UTIs. Your veterinarian may ask to run some bloodwork and get a urinalysis to check for these. Hope this helps!
