Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female
Hi there, my question is about a round sore that appeared overnight on my cat's ear. She's an outdoor cat and feral so it's difficult to get close enough to examine it. Just wondering if it'll go away on its own or if it requires attention? Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear Hamilton has a sore ear. It looks like there may be a wound on the ear and a large scan has formed. I would monitor her ear for any bleeding, swelling, discharge or redness. If these are seen, it could be indicative of an infection/abscess and require antibiotics, antiinflammatories, etc. If it does not seem to be resolving, worsens or you are concerned I would recommend she be evaluated by a veterinarian. Here in the United States, she would also need to be boosters on her rabies vaccine with a wound of unknown origin. Good luck!
