Is 100mg Pexion twice daily the right dosage for my 6.8kg pug?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Female | spayed | 6 years and 6 months old | 14.5 lbs

My vet has just prescribed pexion 100mg twice daily for my 6.8kg pug I always like to check dosage myself afterwards online as an accident happened previously with the wrong mg being given Is that dosage appropriate for her size and weight and not actually having seizures just possible involuntary behaviours possibly linked to brain activities Previously on 15mg epiphen twice daily but making her food aggressive because of increased hunger

The dosage of 100 mg twice daily is well within the dosage guidelines. The recommended dosage is 10-30 mg/lb twice daily. You dog is approximately 15 lbs, so the maximum dose for that weight is 450 mg twice daily.
