What's the deworming process for my underweight cat with pyrantel?

Pet's info: Cat | Ragdoll | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 26 days old | 5 lbs

Good day.. i bought pyrantel embonate for my cat. But i dont know how the deworming process is. Hes 2.8lbs underweight "suspecting worm because he is always hungry but underweight" what to do from pre to post deworming process? Thank you in advance.

Nothing special just treat at 5mg/kg (1lb=0,45kg) once. Pyrantel is usually given as a single dose that is repeated in two to three weeks to kill any parasites that have matured during that time.
