How to stop my potty pad trained dog from peeing on the floor?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 15 days old | 8 lbs

My dog is potty pad trained but still prefers to tinkle on the floor sometimes how can I stop that

I would recommend trying to potty train daisy outside. Sometimes it can be hard for dogs to realize the difference between the potty pad and regular floor. However if you want her potty pad trained every time you see her not using the pad take her over to it immediately. Also, you can take her to the pad multiple times through the day and if she pees give her an award like a treat.

    Potty training is hard. In reality we are teaching the the desire to go in the desired location, not “don’t potty in the house”. I would consider keeping her leashed to your belt loop when she is in the house the next week or so. Anytime she shows the slightest interest in needing to potty run her outside (or to the potty pad) and then praise her when she goes. If she multiple days with no ability to go somewhere else then she will start having the desire to go in the right location. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
