My puppy is shaking, vomiting and NOT acting like herself. Is she sick? What should I do? Is it bad?

Yes, it sounds like Wonder is painful (shaking), and not herself due to the vomiting. She may also have a fever which could make her lethargic. She is a young dog so most likely she has a stomach upset from something she ate. If she can't hold anything down you should take her to your veterinarian for treatment. She could have eaten something bad, or have something caught in her stomach or intestines. They will do an exam then most likely blood work and an X-ray if needed to find the specific reason she is sick. Then they can prescribe the appropriate treatment. This is a fairly common reason dogs get sick and usually they improve quickly. If Wonder was bright and alert with only a little vomiting I would not be as concerned, Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you take good care of Wonder.

This is very concerning. Your puppy could be suffering from a serious gastrointestinal infection such as parvo or, since she is also showing central nervous signs, she could be suffering from another viral disease such as distemper or liver disease. Please take her to your vet this morning or a petER for an exam. She will likely need iv fluids, pain medicine and antibiotics and medicine to keep her from vomiting.

Her vomiting has nothing to do with licking a tootsie roll. In puppies vomiting is usually either due to one of these things: parvo virus, internal parasites or intestinal obstruction. She needs to see a vet. She is shaking from pain and fear.

Poor Remi! The signs you are describing can be caused by a foreign body, intestinal parasites, or viral infection such as parvovirus - unfortunately, puppies are predisposed to all of these conditions. I recommend having Remi seen by a vet as soon as possible, especially because she may become dehydrated from vomiting and not eating. I hope all is well and am happy to answer any other questions you may have. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!

I think that Pluto needs to be seen by a veterinarian. There are quite a few things that can cause nausea and vomiting in such a young puppy. Parvo virus is one of the things and it can be life threatening. He could have intestinal parasites as well. The veterinarian can do an exam and some diagnostics to diagnose his problem. Then they can start him on a treatment plan to get him feeling better! Thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
