Urinating on the floor and vertical surfaces is a sign of anxiety and most likely not a continuation of the UTI. There can be several reasons for his anxiety, including not enough litter boxes (you should have 1 per cat 1), recent change to the home or a recent move, or a recent addition to the home. I would start by trying anti-anxiety medication through your vet. I have the most success with Fluoxetine given daily for 2-3 months, coupled with behavioral modification training. There are many tips on how to make your home environmentally sound as well. The website link for those tips are: indoorpet.osu.edu jacksongalaxy.com Other conservative treatments that may help are: 1) Feliway plug-ins 2)Zylkene powder- available online and a natural medication to treat for anxiety in pets, especially marking behavior. Best wishes with Kai and I hope that you find something that works for his urination problems soon. Take care.
