Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It doesn't appear to be a cut based on your pictures but more of an abrasion or loss of hair. You didn't indicate Glacier's age. The area could be pinker and hairless due to an infection, ring worm (fungus) or demodex (non-contagious mite). You can try applying a triple antibiotic ointment to the area but if you don't noticed any improvement in a week or the area grows larger I recommend taking him to the Vet. Good luck!
