My dog, gus, was scratched by a raccoon a week ago. Because he is vaccinated, I only treated the scratch- which has healed. We got a new pup yesterday and Gus is not too sure about him.. During their first meeting, Gus developed foamy saliva. I was concerned, so I Google searched. I read that stress can also cause a foamy mouth, but I'm now very worried that its too late to get him a rabies booster. I haven't noticed any other symptoms except he started hiding under the couch. Is it too late?

Based on your description of Gus's encounter with the new puppy I would not be concerned about Rabies. This was most likely related to the excitement of the encounter. You mentioned Gus is current on his Rabies vaccination so there should not be a huge concern here. However, if you want to be certain about Gus you can have him examined by your veterinarian if his behavior continues to be abnormal and if needed the doctor can actually check Gus's rabies titer (a blood sample) and send it out to the lab. Most likely, Gus is absolutely fine. Best of luck.
