Why does my kitten's eye pus, diarrhea, and vomiting keep returning?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Devon Rex | Female | 2 months and 30 days old

Good afternoon! My kitten has some kind of disease from bacteria. In the eyes of pus. Diarrhea. Vomiting. She accepts the "Sinulox" (amoxicillin + clavulanic acid), and a week later everything passes. A retsediv meets in a week. The medicine does not heal but masks. What can you recommend?

Hello, I would consider assessing your antibiotic regimen and the type of infection. If Jessica has a bacterial infection, then making sure that bacteria is susceptible to sinulox is essential. That can be done with a culture. If the bacteria is susceptible to sinulox then you may need to treat for a longer period of time. If Jessica has a viral infection, then sinulox may not be doing much for the infection and you should consider talking to your veterinarian about antivirals. Please see your veterinarian to have Jessica assessed further. Hope this helps.
