My cat has a red paw. Is it normal? Is cinnamon safe for my kittens?

Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Female | 3 months and 21 days old | 4 lbs

Hello, I have a female Persian cat which was lost but was recently found a month after. I have asked about her hair. Now I would like to ask a question about her paws. I noticed that one of her paws was red. My other cats paw is not red. Is this normal, or should I go see my vet? This part has nothing to do with my question, but is it safe for my kittens to eat cinnamon?

She may have injured the paw by stepping on a hot surface. As long as she isn't bothered by it and there is no sign of infection (swelling, discharge, foul odor), then I would just soak the paw in a warm water Epsom salt bath for 5-10 minutes to help reduce some of the inflammation. And to answer your other question, Cinnamon is not toxic to cats or dogs. Here is a link to the ASPCA website that goes over all possible toxic plants and herbs for your future reference. Take care. https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control/toxic-and-non-toxic-plants/cinnamon
