Dog has swollen abdomen from insect bite. Benadryl helped, what's next?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | 7 lbs

I think my dog got bit by some sort of insect and he has a sack hanging from his abdomen. We know he made an allergy to something because he got a little better with benadryl

Yes that is right as it seems to be an allergic reaction. If the signs persist in the next 48hours, I would recommend to use a steroid based topical or systemic medication (on prescription) to stop completely the allergic process and resolve the signs.
